Chief's Welcome

 On behalf of the men and women of the Gridley Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our Department web page.  Our agency proudly employs some   of the finest men and women who serve our communities with pride and integrity each and every day.  We strive to maintain community relations and strengthen   involvement in our smalltown community events. 

Mission Statement

The Gridley Police Department will consistently strive to serve its residents by proactively addressing crime, preserving the peace, protecting life and property, and will be committed to establishing partnerships within the community to focus on concerns and conduct problem solving with fairness, integrity, and professionalism.  

The Gridley Police Department

The Gridley Police Department is comprised of 14 full-time sworn Police Officers, 6 sworn Reserve Police Officers, one School Resource Officer, one Department Detective, one Narcotics Officer, 5 full-time Public Safety Dispatchers, one Records/Dispatch Supervisor, one Community Service Officer, and an Animal Control Officer.

We strive to hire, train and promote those of the appropriate qualities, training and experience to best suit our department in order to provide the utmost service and protection of our community. Our ultimate goal is to continue the betterment of our relations through connection with our community members, businesses and visitors, providing public relations and maintaining rapport all while ensuring safety and protection.

Proposed AB-481 Military Equipment Use Policy

Assembly Bill 481 (“AB 481”) codified in Government Code sections 7070 through 7075, requires a law enforcement agency (“LEA”) to obtain approval from the applicable governing body, via adoption of a Military Equipment Use Policy (the “Policy”) by ordinance (the “Ordinance”), prior to the LEA funding, acquiring, or using military equipment.
