The Human Resources Division strives to provide a safe, healthy, and positive working environment for our City of Gridley employees. The Division's primary responsibilities include benefits administration, classification and compensation, labor and employee relations, recruitment and selection, organizational development and training, and workers compensation administration. Human Resources also serves as a resource for former Gridley employees, potential new employees through the recruitment and selection process, and other government agencies.

Electric Line Worker Recruitment
The City of Gridley, a vibrant and charming community with 7,000 residents, 60 miles north of Sacramento, has an immediate opening for an Electric Line Worker to assist in the installation, construction, maintenance and repair of City’s overhead and underground electrical transmission/distribution lines, substations and related electrical equipment. Compensation is $7,860 monthly plus generous benefits including CalPERS Retirement, medical (with minimal employee contribution), dental, and vision. Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program as an electrical line worker and prior experience working in electrical utility services is required.

Police Officer (Lateral) Recruitment
The City of Gridley, a vibrant and charming community with 7,000 residents, 60 miles north of Sacramento, is seeking to hire additional Police Officers (Lateral). The salary range is $4,143 - $5,291 Per Month. The City offers an attractive benefits package including CalPERS Retirement, medical (with minimal employee contribution), dental, and vision. The City does not participate in Social Security.
This is an outstanding opportunity! Necessary qualifications include: Possession of a California POST basic Certificate and work experience as a sworn officer, OR graduation from a POST certified basic academy within the last three years; possession of or ability to posses a California class C drivers license; a minimum of 21 years of age at the time of appointment; and good physical and mental health as required by POST standards.
