City Finance Director Recruitment

The City of Gridley, CA, a vibrant and charming community with 7,000 residents, 60 miles north of Sacramento, is seeking a new Finance Director.  The salary range is $96,816 - $117,684. The City offers an attractive benefits package including CalPERS Retirement, medical (with minimal employee contribution), dental, and vision. The City does not participate in Social Security. 

This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on Finance Director with a breadth of financial services experience.  Our Team is looking for a leader with technical competence and a strong service orientation, who inspires teamwork, builds positive relationships, maintains a productive work environment, and has a can-do attitude.

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical method to obtain the required qualifications would be a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field and four years of experience in a responsible financial capacity involving responsibility for the planning, organizing, and execution of a varied financial program in governmental accounting and financial reporting, including two years of supervisory experience. Designation as a CPA or Master’s degree is desirable.  The City offers an attractive benefits package including CalPERS Retirement, medical, dental, and vision.
